Making Dance

From Studio to Stage

Wrap-Up

For the company or artist, however, the production process doesn't end there. Following the final performance, there are still jobs to do, including:

  • Striking the sets and clearing out of the theatre
  • Returning any borrowed items
  • Holding a meeting to evaluate the success of the production, making decisions about what to do next, and next time
  • Sending thank-you notes to volunteers and providing reports to funders and sponsors
  • Creating an archive to preserve the work for potential remounting or research in the future. Documentation is also important for use in future project proposals
