Leah Roseman is a native of Ottawa and grew up attending National Arts Centre Orchestra concerts. She holds a B.Mus. from McGill and a M.Mus. from Indiana University. She was a winner of the NACO Bursary in 1990.
Leah Roseman studied at many summer festivals including the Sarasota Music Festival, Tanglewood, Schleswig-Holstein Festival, Encore, and the Soundfest Institute of String Quartets. She was a member of l’Orchestre symphonique de Québec, Les Violons du Roy, and the Carmel Bach Festival Orchestra before joining the NAC Orchestra in 1997.
Since returning to Ottawa she has been active as a teacher and has organized many chamber music concerts, for several years as a member of the Gruppetto Baroque Ensemble and currently with the Mackay Chamber Music Series.
